Charitable Work Supported by Ram Subedi in Nepal
Mr. Subedi supports several groups through the sale of the wool caps and cashmere shawls he imports from Nepal. The first group are the deaf/mute/blind women who make the cashmere shawls. Mr. Subedi has given over the use of his home in Pokhara for the women to hand manufacture these beautiful shawls. Another group of women are supported through micro loan programs providing funds for the purchase of animals and seeds for fruits and vegetables. The women create businesses that help support their families and the community. Finally, Mr. Subedi supports programs that help educate and feed the poorer children of the area by donating money to hire qualified teachers and creating a lunch program to feed the children while at school.
